Fr Lee Kenyon, a priest of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter, serves as the Parochial Administrator of St John Henry Newman. He was born in Manchester, England and was educated at the University of Lancaster (BA Philosophy) and the University of Leeds (BA Theology, MA Theology). Fr Kenyon trained for the Anglican ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, Yorkshire, a theological college established by the Anglican monastic Community of the Resurrection. Fr Kenyon was ordained priest in the Church of England in 2005 by Bishop John Goddard (now Mgr John Goddard, a priest of the Archdiocese of Liverpool). Fr Kenyon was ordained a Catholic priest in 2012, continuing to serve as parish priest of St John’s Calgary. During this time Fr Kenyon also served as the first Dean of the Canadian Ordinariate Deanery of St John the Baptist, and Episcopal Vicar for Canada. From 2017-2019 he was on loan to the Diocese of Shrewsbury, England, serving in South Manchester, before returning to Canada to take up the position of Parochial Administrator of St John Henry’s in 2019.
